On May 1, 2015, the Army released their Energy Security and Sustainability (ES2) Strategy Report which outlines their plans to, “enhance current and future capabilities, readiness, and performance” all through a, “design and integration of resource considerations into behaviors and decision processes” – in short, the formation and practice of a resiliency program.

Utilizing this concept will assist in the implementation of new policies, support campaign plans, while augmenting their readiness for deployment and fighting wherever they are needed to protect the national interests of the United States. Currently, the ES2 Strategy’s purpose is to protect resources (energy, land, and water).
