Columbine High School Massacre

Columbine High School Massacre

April 20, 1999:

Two subjects walked into Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado and opened fire on both students and staff, as well as detonated explosive devices, some of which were planted in and around the school prior to entering. Initially, they had intended for it to be a bombing on a massive scale, but the propane bombs they left failed to detonate. For nearly an hour the pair moved inside the school, where they gunned down many of their victims in the library before finally turning their guns on themselves. —(FBI)
