Texas Hill Country Flood

In the early hours of July 4, 2025, severe flooding from the Guadalupe River inundated Kerr County and surrounding areas after heavy rainfall. The floodwaters quickly brought widespread destruction—sweeping away homes, vehicles, and infrastructure. Roads remain closed, and facilities like Camp Mystic suffered major damage (CNN). On July 6, Governor Greg Abbott announced that President Donald J. Trump approved federal disaster aid under a Major Disaster Declaration in response to the deadly floods. As of July 7, the situation remains active, and residents are urged to stay alert, follow official instructions, and check road updates at DriveTexas.org.
