Iraq war veteran, Esteban Santiago, opened fire with a semi-automatic pistol in Terminal 2 baggage claim at Fort Lauderdale airport. He withdrew the gun and began shooting at his victims’ heads until he had exhausted his ammunition. He was then confronted by a Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputy who placed him under arrest without resistance.—DOJ
