Within a month, 2019-nCoV (COVID-19) was identified in four countries–China (278 cases), Thailand (2 cases), Japan (1 case) and South Korea (1 case). (WHO)

On March 11, 2020 the COVID-19 outbreak was characterized as a pandemic by the WHO. As of March 20, 2020 the “number of confirmed cases worldwide has exceeded 200,000.
