Potential of nanotech armor

The Pentagon is talking with U.S. Global Nanospace about retrofitting military Humvee doors and turrets with a new lightweight nanotech-based armor made from polymer fibers. The armor, which is made a molecule at a time using nanotechnology, is said to be stronger than steel and able to stop shrapnel and bullets.
