Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS)
CHDS, at the Naval Postgraduate School, conducts a wide range of educational programs focused on assisting current and future leaders in Homeland Defense and Security to develop the policies, strategies, programs and organizational elements needed to defeat terrorism.
DHS National Preparedness Directorate, FEMA (NPD)
The NPD leads the nation’s efforts under the National Preparedness System to build and sustain collective capabilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to and recover from disasters, regardless of cause.
LLIS Lessons Learned Information Sharing
LLIS is part of FEMA’s National Preparedness Assessment Division (NPAD). NPAD’s mission is to advance all hazards preparedness by assessing and communicating investments, activities, and accomplishments related to national preparedness. In spring 2015, LLIS.gov consolidated content, such as lessons learned, innovative practices, after-action reports, plans, templates, guides, and other materials, with the HSDL in order to more efficiently serve the overall emergency management community. Dudley Knox Library
The Dudley Knox Library, at the Naval Postgraduate School, has provided resources and support to the Homeland Security Digital Library for over ten years. The library was the initial host of the project and still collaborates closely with HSDL staff. The library houses a variety of homeland security resources, to include the Homeland Security Research Guide.
Consortium for Robotics and Unmanned Systems Education and Research (CRUSER)
CRUSER, at the Naval Postgraduate School, is a facilitator for the Navy’s common research interests in current and future unmanned systems and robotics. The HSDL is a repository for CRUSER authored materials including the monthly CRUSER News. The HSDL also maintains a Featured Topic list for key unmanned systems resources in its collection.
Government Printing Office (GPO)
The HSDL has partnered with the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) to provide access to specific areas of the HSDL’s collection of homeland security policy, strategy and management information. The Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection (I3P)
The I3P is a consortium of leading universities, national laboratories and nonprofit institutions dedicated to strengthening the cyber infrastructure of the United States. The I3P was founded by Dartmouth College and is now housed at George Washington University. The cyber infrastructure collection is a partnership of the Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection (I3P) and the HSDL. It is focused on identification of information assets in the broad area of information infrastructure protection and cyber security. The I3P’s effort in this partnership was sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Project on Advanced Systems and Concepts for Countering WMD (PASCC)
PASCC is housed at the Naval Postgraduate School Center on Contemporary Conflict. PASCC was established in 2011 and is sponsored by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. One of PASCC’s primary objectives is to broaden the reach of its sponsored research, and the HSDL serves as the repository for publicly available PASCC reports as well as reports from the former Office for Advanced Systems and Concepts.
