Over the River and Through the Woods: Travel Tips from the HSDL

If you’re venturing to and from grandmother’s house this holiday season, the HSDL would like to offer our warmest wishes, along with some tips for personal and travel safety: 

Decorations and Christmas trees help spread holiday cheer in our neighborhoods and workplaces, but they can also be a fire risk. Check out this video and article from FEMA on fire safety during the season. 

Whether by plane, train, or automobile, the delays associated with holiday travel can turn even the happiest elf into a grinch. FEMA has provided some travel safety tips to keep you dashing through the snow on schedule.
