New Homeland Security Digital Library Featured Topic: Unmanned Systems (UxS)
The Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL) is proud to announce the creation of a new Featured Topic site. Entitled,“Unmanned Systems (UxS)”, this will encompass not only Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), but terrestrial, waterborne, and submersible robotic vehicles as well. This new collection includes the following sections: “Articles”; “Congressional Research Service (CRS Reports)”; “Department of Defense (DoD) Reports”; “Government Accountability Office & Office of Inspector General (GAO & OIG) Reports”; “General Research & Reports”; “Hearings”; “Theses”; and “Websites”.
The following is a sampling of the contents in the current Unmanned Systems (UxS) list (some documents may require a log-in. This may be requested via the HSDL home page):
GAO & OIG Reports
Unmanned Aircraft Systems: Measuring Progress and Addressing Potential Privacy Concerns Would Facilitate Integration into the National Airspace System, Report to Congressional Requesters [Updated September 18, 2012]
General Research & Reports
Serial No. 111–118: Rise of the Drones: Unmanned Systems and the Future of War: Hearing before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs, One Hundred Eleventh Congress, Second Session, March 23, 2010
The documents featured within the section are by no means all of the HSDL materials on UAVs and Unmanned Systems. Additional materials can be found via a regular search in the HSDL home site. The featured items will also be continually updated as new reports are published. A complete list of all Featured Topics can be accessed here.
