Biden-Harris Administration’s National Security Strategy

The White House released the 2022 National Security Strategy on October 12, 2022. According to the accompanying Fact Sheet, President Biden’s strategy encompasses three main ideas: invest, build, and modernize. His plan is to invest in more American power, build and nurture strategic alliances, and modernize the military. The National Security Strategy is divided into four main sections:

  1. The Competition for What Comes Next;
  2. Investing in Our Strength;
  3. Our Global Priorities; and
  4. Our Strategy by Region.

The President concludes his strategy with the following statement:

As we have done throughout our history, America will seize this moment and rise to the challenge. There is no time to waste.
