Healthy, Resilient, and Sustainable Communities After Disasters:Strategies, Opportunities, and Planning for Recovery (2015)

The National Academies Press (NAP) released their report which focuses on infrastructure protection and health practices with the help of different agencies (public, private, and government). The NAP references how the United States, “…population suffer[s] from preventable health problems, experience inequitable access to services, and rely on overburdened health systems.” This report suggests programs that will aid the community and prepare them for future hurdles. Overall, the NAP shines light to how working together will create a stronger community in less time, as well as health practices to benefit its citizens.
