“Join Susanne E. DesRoches, assistant chief, Resilience and Sustainability, Engineering Department, Port Authority [PA] of New York and New Jersey for her talk on Hurricane Sandy. DesRoches assumed the lead role for the Hurricane Sandy immediate recovery and future climate resiliency efforts and has represented her agency on numerous regional climate change initiatives. She manages the sustainable design program for for capital projects and oversees the sustainability and climate resiliency of large-scale projects. DesRoches led the development and adoption of the PA Sustainable Infrastructure Guidelines, a sustainability rating system for infrastructure projects. Currently, she is overseeing the integration of future climate impacts in development of her agency’s resiliency design guidelines.”
