In March of 2023, the Biden Administration released the National Cybersecurity Strategy, which provided a plan revolving around five pillars: 1) Defend critical infrastructure; 2) Disrupt and dismantle threats by malicious cyber actors; 3) Shape market forces to drive security and resilience; 4) Invest in a resilient future; and 5) Forge international partnerships to pursue shared goals.
In an effort to provide transparency and enable cooperation between “the private sector; civil society; state, local, Tribal, and territorial governments; international partners; and Congress,” the Administration has announced the release of the National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan (NCSIP), a detailed roadmap that guides the responsibility and coordination of various sectors in order to execute the original strategy. Updates to this plan will be provided annually.
