Advancing Climate Action Through Partnerships

As the impacts of climate change are felt throughout the country, FEMA’s Resilient Nation Partnership Network (RNPN) along with NASA have released a new report, Building Alliances for Climate Action: Advancing Climate Action Through Partnerships.

The RNPN is a diverse network represented by over 1500 organizations with the goal of helping communities become more resilient to the effects of climate change and natural disasters. In October 2021, the RNPN held a forum titled Alliances for Climate Action, where participants shared their insights and experiences related to climate change and climate action. Building Alliances for Climate Action was developed as a result of this forum. It presents stories of resilience shared from the forum, as well as perspectives, insights, and reflections from those in the partnership network. Ultimately, the main goal centers around three priorities:

  • Promoting natural hazard mitigation and climate adaptation actions.
  • Advancing equitable resilience initiatives.
  • Expanding capacity through partnerships.
