The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has released the 2022 Annual Report on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).
This report describes the establishment of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) whose mission includes the authority to synchronize and standardize the collection, reporting, and analysis of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) across multiple U.S. federal departments and agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The number of UAP reports continues to increase and such events are safety concerns for aircraft operators, as well as possible threats to national security. The AARO will expand coordination efforts to improve the U.S. Government’s awareness of objects in the airspace and resolve such UAP events.
The HSDL has the preliminary assessment on UAP available here. For more information about this topic, check out these HSDL resources on UFO Evidence and The Pentagon’s UAP Task Force.
