2016 Annotated Worldwide Threat Assessment – Interactive Website
On February 9, 2016, National Intelligence Director James R. Clapper presented the Worldwide Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Community to the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee. This Threat Assessment is noted to be, “the most informative top-level products of the U.S. Intelligence Community that is publicly available[.]”
Recently, the Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) created an interactive website highlighting Global Threats (i.e. Cyber and Tech, Terrorism WMDs [Weapons of Mass Destruction] – Proliferation, Space/Counterspace, Counterintelligence, Organized Crime, Economic and Natural Resources, and Human Security) as well as Regional Threats (i.e. Emerging Trends, East Asia, Russia and Eurasia, Europe, Middle East/North Africa, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean). Each section is linked to Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL) and CHDS Related Resources, providing the user with hearings (one of them being the United Nations’ Paris Agreement that took place on December 12, 2015 [on the Human Security’s slide]) as well as informational graphics.
