Executive Order 13045: Protection of Children From Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks
Executive Order 13045 establishes a Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children. The Order also mandates that each Federal agency shall make it a high priority to identify and assess environmental health risks and safety risks that may disproportionately affect children; and shall ensure that its policies, programs, activities, and standards address disproportionate risks to children that result from environmental health risks or safety risks.

Executive Order 13047 states that Government of Burma has committed large-scale repression of the democratic opposition in Burma after September 30, 1996, and that the actions and policies of the Government of Burma constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States and declare a national emergency to deal with that threat. The Order prohibits new investment or facilitation of investment in Burma by

Executive Order 13034 extends the Presidential Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses, established in Executive Order 12961 of May 26, 1995. Executive Order 13088: Blocking Property of the Governments of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), the Republic of Serbia, and the Republic of Montenegro, and Prohibiting New Investment in the Republic of Serbia in Response to the Situation in Kosovo
Executive Order 13088 declares that the actions and policies of the Governments of the Federal Republic
of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) and the Republic of Serbia with
respect to Kosovo, by promoting ethnic conflict and human suffering, threaten to destabilize countries of the region and to disrupt progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina in implementing the Dayton peace agreement, and therefore
constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and bforeign policy of the United States. The Order blocks the property and property interests and prohibits financial transactions with, including trade financing for, the Governments of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), the Republic of Serbia, and the Republic of Montenegro by United States persons.

Executive Order 13076: Ordering the Selected Reserve of the Armed Forces to Active Duty
Executive Order 13076 determines that it is necessary to augment the active armed forces of the United States for the effective conduct of operations in and around Southwest Asia, and authorizes the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Transportation with respect to the Coast Guard when it is not operating as a service in the Department of the Navy, to order to active duty any units, and any individual members not assigned to a unit organized to serve as a unit, of the Selected Reserve.

In order to extend eligibility for the award of the National Defense Service Medal to members in good standing in the Selected Reserve of the Armed Forces of the United States, it is hereby ordered that Executive Order 10448 of April 22, 1953, as amended, is further amended: 1. by inserting or service in good standing in the Selected Reserve of the Armed Forces'' after active military service'' each place it appears; and 2. by striking additional period of active duty'' and inserting in lieu thereof additional period.'' Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect the exercise of authority granted by Executive Order 12776 of October 8, 1991.

Executive Order 13231: Critical Infrastructure Protection in the Information Age
The order created a federal "critical infrastructure protection" board and charged it with recommending policies and coordinating programs for protecting information systems for critical infrastructure. The Board's wide ambit includes outreach to the private sector and state and local governments, information sharing, incident coordination and crisis response, recruitment of Executive Branch security professionals, coordination of research and development, law enforcement coordination, and international cooperation. Executive Order 12472 is revoked.

Executive Order 13115: Interagency Task Force on the Roles and Missions of the United States Coast Guard
Executive Order 13115 establishes a Task Force that shall report to the President through the Secretary of Transportation, and shall provide advice and recommendations regarding the appropriate roles and missions for the United States Coast Guard through the Year 2020. While the Task Force will comprehensively review all Coast Guard roles and missions, it will give special attention to the deepwater missions, which are those that generally occur beyond 50 nautical miles from U.S. shores.

the situation that gave rise to the declaration of a national emergency in
Executive Order 13129 of July 4, 1999, with respect to the Taliban, in
allowing territory under its control in Afghanistan to be used as a safe
haven and base of operations for Usama bin Ladin and the Al-Qaida organization,
has been significantly altered given the success of the military campaign
in Afghanistan, and hereby revoke that order and terminate the national
emergency declared in that order with respect to the Taliban (see Title 3)."

Executive Order 12472: Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Telecommunications Functions
In order to provide for the consolidation of assignment and responsibility for improved execution of national security and emergency preparedness telecommunications functions, this executive order is handed down by the President. In light of the fact that the bulk of RUF diamonds leaves Sierra Leone through Liberia and that such
illicit trade cannot be conducted without the permission and involvement
of Liberian government officials at the highest levels, Executive Order 13213 calls for all states
to take the necessary measures to prevent the importation of all rough
diamonds from Liberia, whether or not such diamonds originated in Liberia.

Executive Order 13223: Ordering the Ready Reserve of the Armed Forces To Active Duty and Delegating Certain Authorities to the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Transportation
Executive Order 13223 provides additional authority to the Department of Defense and the Department of Transportation to respond to the continuing and immediate threat of further attacks on the United States. The Executive Order makes it possible to order any unit, and any member of the Ready Reserve not assigned to a unit organized to serve as a unit, in the Ready Reserve to active duty for not more than 24 consecutive months, is invoked and made available, according to its terms, to the Secretary concerned, subject in the case of the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, to the direction of the Secretary of Defense.
