United States Government Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Congressional Report
From the Executive Summary: "The United States is a steadfast supporter of the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda. Long before the passage of UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 in 2000 and the enactment and implementation of the first comprehensive law on WPS in 2017, the United States government (USG) has been implementing the WPS agenda through diplomacy, development, defense, and international cooperation, through its specific missions and its relevant Departments and Agencies. The WPS Act of 2017 (P.L. 115-68) (WPS Act) required the President to submit to Congress the U.S. Strategy on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS Strategy), which launched in 2019. The Strategy called for the Departments of Defense (DoD), Homeland Security (DHS), and State, as well as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), to submit agency-specific Implementation Plans to measure and report on progress. The following public report to Congress evaluates the USG's progress in advancing the WPS Strategy's four Lines of Effort (LOEs): 1) Participation; 2) Protection; 3) Internal Capabilities; and 4) Partnerships. As each of the four departments and agencies have unique and tailored missions, the data and timeframes presented in their reports differ."

Technical Support Document: Social Cost of Carbon, Methane, and Nitrous Oxide, Interim Estimates Under Executive Order 13990
From the Preface: "The Interagency Working Group (IWG) on the Social Cost of Greenhouse Gases is committed to ensuring that the estimates agencies use when monetizing the value of changes in greenhouse gas emissions resulting from regulations and other relevant agency actions continue to reflect the best available science and methodologies. This Technical Support Document (TSD) presents interim estimates of the social cost of carbon, methane, and nitrous oxide developed under Executive Order 13990. These interim values are the same as those developed by the IWG in 2013 and 2016. The current IWG will take comment on recent developments in the science and economics for use in a more comprehensive update, to be issued by January 2022, which will more fully address the recommendations of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine as reported in Valuing Climate Damages: Updating Estimation of the Social Cost of Carbon Dioxide (2017) and other pertinent scientific literature. As a part of that request for comment, the IWG will seek comment on the discussion of advances in science and methodology included in this TSD and how those advances can best be incorporated into the revised final estimates."

1776 Report
From the Introduction: "The declared purpose of the President's Advisory 1776 Commission is to 'enable a rising generation to understand the history and principles of the founding of the United States in 1776 and to strive to form a more perfect Union.' This requires a restoration of American education, which can only be grounded on a history of those principles that is 'accurate, honest, unifying, inspiring, and ennobling.' And a rediscovery of our shared identity rooted in our founding principles is the path to a renewed American unity and a confident American future. The Commission's first responsibility is to produce a report summarizing the principles of the American founding and how those principles have shaped our country. [...] The President's Advisory 1776 Commission presents this first report with the intention of cultivating a better education among Americans in the principles and history of our nation and in the hope that a rediscovery of those principles and the forms of constitutional government will lead to a more perfect Union."

Economic Report of the President 'Together' with the Annual Report 'of the' Council of Economic Advisers (January 2021)
From the Introduction: "In 2020, the U.S. economy experienced its worst macroeconomic shock since the Great Depression. As a direct result of the arrival of COVID-19 [coronavirus disease 2019]--and consequent measures to contain and mitigate viral transmission, real output was on pace to contract by as much as 12.3 percent in 2020, which would have constituted the worst economic contraction since 1932. Professional forecasters projected that the unemployment rate would reach as high as 25.0 percent in May 2020, its worst level since the Great Depression and more than twice its peak in the aftermath of the 2008-9 global financial crisis. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) forecasted a contraction of almost 6 percent during the four quarters of 2020, and that the unemployment rate would remain over 11 percent through the end of the year."

National Space Policy of the United States of America
From the Introduction: "Fifty-one years ago, the United States focused its will, leadership, and imagination to lead the greatest expedition in history, the landing of the first humans on another celestial body. The aspiration to explore space led the United States to generate the new technologies, capabilities, expertise, and businesses to fulfill this goal. [...] As we seek to expand the benefits of space to people on Earth and in space, unfettered access to, and freedom to operate in, space will remain a vital national interest. Recognizing the right of nations to explore and use outer space, the United States will continue to use space for the security of the Nation and our allies. Should any adversary threaten to endanger the benefits we all derive from space, the United States will employ all elements of national power to deter and, if necessary, prevail over hostile activities in, from, and through space."

Federal Mission Resilience Strategy 2020
From the Executive Summary: "The Federal Mission Resilience Strategy (hereafter, 'Strategy') builds on existing continuity policy to accelerate the evolution of our Federal Government to become more resilient against all threats and conditions through an enduring structure of distributed risk and capabilities. The Strategy was developed in response to direction from the National Security Council Principals Committee and supports the National Security Strategy by refocusing national continuity policy implementation to better address emerging threats to the performance of essential functions and services. Federal Mission Resilience is the ability of the Federal executive branch to continuously maintain the capability and capacity to perform essential functions and services, without time delay, regardless of threats or conditions, and with the understanding that adequate warning of a threat may not be available. Federal Mission Resilience will be realized when preparedness programs, including continuity and enterprise risk management, are fully integrated into day-to-day operations of the Federal executive branch. The Strategy model of 'Assess, Distribute, and Sustain' reduces the reliance on reactive relocation of personnel to alternate locations and emphasizes a more proactive full-time posture of distribution and as necessary, devolution to minimize disruptions to essential functions and services. This shift in policy implementation is supported by three lines of effort (LOE). Through these LOEs, Federal executive branch Principals will drive efforts within their components to increase the capability and capacity to continuously perform essential functions and services to mitigate against all threats, including adversarial actions and regional disruptions."

Trump on China: Putting America First: A Collection of Speeches Laying Out the Most Significant United States Foreign Policy Shift in a Generation
From the Introduction: "President Trump made plain in his May speech, 'The United States wants an open and constructive relationship with China, but achieving that relationship requires us to vigorously defend our national interests.' This book explains what President Trump means by his call for a vigorous defense of our national interests vis a vis China. [...] Taken together, the speeches herein are similar to U.S. diplomat George Kennan's 1946 'Long Telegram' to the State Department that outlined his views on the Soviet Union. This book is different from the 'Long Telegram' in two important respects. First, unlike Kennan's case, written by an envoy at post, this book contains the words and policies of the President and his most senior officials. Second, given China's population size, economic prowess, and historic global ambitions, the People's Republic of China is a more capable competitor than the Soviet Union at its height."

National Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technologies
From the Introduction: "The National Security Strategy (NSS) lays out a vision for promoting American prosperity; protecting the American people, the homeland, and the American way of life; preserving peace through strength; and advancing American influence in an era of great power competition. It calls for the United States to lead in research, technology, invention, and innovation, referred to here generally as science and technology (S&T), by prioritizing emerging technologies critical to economic growth and security. The NSS also calls for the United States to promote and protect the United States National Security Innovation Base (NSIB), which it defines as the American network of knowledge, capabilities, and people - including academia, National Laboratories, and the private sector - that turns ideas into innovations, transforms discoveries into successful commercial products and companies, and protects and enhances the American way of life."

How President Trump Uses the Defense Production Act to Protect America from the China Virus
From the Introduction: "Over the first three years of his Administration, President Donald J. Trump used a combination of tax cuts, deregulation, energy dominance, and fair trade deals to build one of the most robust and resilient economies in American history. As a result of these growth-inducing policies, by January 20, 2020 - the day the Chinese Communist Party confirmed human-to-human transmission of SARS-CoV-2 [severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2] - the United States economy was at full employment, real wages were rising, and black and Hispanic Americans were enjoying record low unemployment rates. Since that time, SARS-CoV-2 - hereinafter referred to as the China Virus - has taken a horrific toll. Over 160,000 Americans have died. As many as 18 million Americans are currently unemployed. Trillions of dollars of fiscal and monetary stimuli have been expended to combat the sharpest and deepest economic downturn in U.S. history."

New Era for Deep Space Exploration and Development
From the Introduction: "The strategy delineated in this paper supports an ambitious vision for human space exploration and development. This vision is one in which there is a sustainable human and robotic presence across the solar system -- an expanding sphere of commercial, non-governmental activities in which increasing numbers of Americans live and work in space. This vision begins with a campaign to utilize Earth's orbital environment, the surface and resources of the Moon, and cis-lunar space to develop the critical technologies, operational capabilities, and commercial space economy necessary for a sustainable human presence on the Moon, Mars, and beyond."

PREVENTS: The President's Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide
From the Overview: "The vision of PREVENTS [The President's Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide] is to prevent suicide, which requires culture change, seamless access to care, a connected research ecosystem, and robust community engagement. To achieve these ambitious goals, an integrated action plan is needed to develop, implement, and evaluate programs, research, policies, and a communication campaign. Ten recommendations have been created to guide the direction of the action plan. Over 150 subject matter experts from more than 15 Federal agencies have (1) identified the most critical problems for existing suicide prevention efforts, (2) carefully studied existing background information to understand the current state, (3) conducted detailed analysis of potential solutions, and (4) recommended next steps for solving each problem. Because an integrated, comprehensive approach is essential to effective suicide prevention, each recommendation requires a combination of programs, research, policies, and communication strategies to ensure effective execution and coordinated action among and between Federal agencies."

United States Strategic Approach to the People's Republic of China
From the Introduction: "Beijing openly acknowledges that it seeks to transform the international order to align with CCP [Chinese Communist Party] interests and ideology. [...] To respond to Beijing's challenge, the Administration has adopted a competitive approach to the PRC, based on a clear-eyed assessment of the CCP's intentions and actions, a reappraisal of the United States' many strategic advantages and shortfalls, and a tolerance of greater bilateral friction. Our approach is not premised on determining a particular end state for China. Rather, our goal is to protect United States vital national interests, as articulated in the four pillars of the 2017 'National Security Strategy of the United States of America' (NSS). We aim to: (1) protect the American people, homeland, and way of life; (2) promote American prosperity; (3) preserve peace through strength; and (4) advance American influence. [...] This report does not attempt to detail the comprehensive range of actions and policy initiatives the Administration is carrying out across the globe as part of our strategic competition. Rather, this report focuses on the implementation of the NSS as it applies most directly to the PRC [People's Republic of China]."

[Letter from President Donald Trump to Director-General of the World Health Organization Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus Regarding U.S. Suspension of WHO Contributions, May 18, 2020]
From the Letter: "On April 14, 2020, I suspended United States contributions to the World Health Organization pending an investigation by my Administration of the organization's failed response to the COVID-19 [coronavirus disease 2019] outbreak. This review has confirmed many of the serious concerns I raised last month and identified others that the World Health Organization should have addressed, especially the World Health Organization's alarming lack of independence from the People's Republic of China. [...] The only way forward for the World Health Organization is if it can actually demonstrate independence from China. My Administration has already started discussions with you on how to reform the organization. But action is needed quickly. We do not have time to waste. That is why it is my duty, as President of the United States, to inform you that, if the World Health Organization does not commit to major substantive improvements within the next 30 days, I will make my temporary freeze of United States funding to the World Health Organization permanent and reconsider our membership in the organization. I cannot allow American taxpayer dollars to continue to finance an organization that, in its present state, is so clearly not serving America's interests."

Memorandum on Allocating Certain Scarce or Threatened Health and Medical Resources to Domestic Use
From the Policy: "On March 25, 2020, the Secretary of Health and Human Services designated under section 102 of the Act 15 categories of health and medical resources as scarce materials or materials the supply of which would be threatened by accumulation in excess of the reasonable demands of business, personal, or home consumption, or for the purpose of resale at prices in excess of prevailing market prices ('scarce or threatened materials'). These designated items include certain PPE [personal protective equipment] materials. To ensure that these scarce or threatened PPE materials remain in the United States for use in responding to the spread of COVID-19 [coronavirus disease 2019], it is the policy of the United States to prevent domestic brokers, distributors, and other intermediaries from diverting such material overseas."
