COVID-19 Minority Health Strike Force Blueprint
From the Document: "The purpose of this blueprint is to provide actionable recommendations to both eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in COVID-19 [coronavirus disease 2019] and other health outcomes and improve overall well-being for communities of color in Ohio. Prompted by the deep-seated health inequities exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this blueprint goes beyond the current crisis to establish a vision of Ohio as a model of justice, equity, opportunity, and resilience to withstand future challenges. Developed by the COVID-19 Minority Health Strike Force with input from many community members around the state, the 35 actionable recommendations in this blueprint serve as a roadmap for the administration of Governor Mike DeWine to advance health equity in partnership with state, local and community officials in Ohio."

Pandemic Influenza Toolkit for Ohio Schools
"The information contained in this toolkit is a compilation of materials representing the current knowledge of planning considerations for schools for a pandemic influenza event. As preparing for a pandemic requires broad community planning, schools are strongly encouraged to work with their local health department and other local emergency planning agencies as they develop their individual plans. It is important to note that each board of education will have unique local issues to consider as they develop school policies and procedures for their specific district. The information in this resource is not meant to supersede local school board policies or local health department initiatives, but rather to inform and provide guidance."

Pandemic Influenza Mass Fatality Response Guidance
This is "a guidance document, including templates and other tools, to assist local jurisdictions with mass fatality planning during a pandemic event. […] This document which is a compilation of information obtained from numerous entities contains guidelines to help local jurisdictions prepare to manage the increased number of deaths due to a natural disease event, such as an influenza pandemic. In a pandemic, the number of deaths will be over and above the usual number of fatalities that a locality would typically see during the same time period. This document will become an attachment to the Ohio Emergency Management Operations Plan Emergency Support Function 8 (October, 2005) and will become an additional resource for local jurisdictions to use for mass fatality planning. Utilizing a pandemic influenza outbreak as an example, assuming three pandemic waves of six weeks each and a five percent crude annual all causes death rate (similar to 1918), about 5,500 deaths per week per wave would occur in Ohio (this is more than 2 ½ times the usual rate of about 2,100 deaths per week). Local mortuary affairs entities in the state may not be able to meet this demand even if they were to remain fully operational; however, they too may be impacted and may lose staff to illness, family illness, death, and refusal to work."
