Strategies for Future Preparedness: Examining the Impact of COVID-19 in Nashville   [open pdf - 0B]

From the Executive Summary: "The COVID-19 [coronavirus disease 2019] pandemic has left both a public health and economic crisis in the United States. Rates of burnout and trauma have increased among medical staff. Mental health and substance use cases have skyrocketed. Children have taken on an unthinkable toll - socially, emotionally, and academically. Mass layoffs and business closures have exacerbated homelessness, along with economic and food insecurity. In cities across the U.S., individuals living in households have been faced with life-threatening health challenges, compounded with COVID-19's impact on their finances, housing, education, food security, transportation, caregiving, and well-being. This report reviews the impact of COVID-19 on Nashville communities and offers recommendations for future preparedness."
