The following letter is from the FEMA Regional Assistance Committee Chair, Steve L. Colman to Daniel H. Dorman, Regional Administrator, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Region I. From the Document: "Enclosed is a copy of the final report for the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Medical Services (MS-1) Drill that was conducted on December 9, 2015. The State of Vermont, the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, and Rescue Inc. Ambulance Service successfully demonstrated their capabilities to implement their off-site radiological emergency response plans and procedures. Based on the evaluation of this exercise by the FEMA Region I evaluators, there were no deficiencies and no Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA). State and local preparedness remains adequate to protect the health and safety of the public living in the vicinity of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station and provides reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken off-site in the event of a radiological emergency."
