From the Executive Summary: "On July 19, 2005 an exercise was conducted in the 10-mile Plume Exposure Pathway, emergency planning zone (EPZ) around the Robert E. Ginna Nuclear Power Station by the State and local governments and evaluated by the State and local government with Federal participation and was evaluated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region II. The purpose of the exercise was to assess the level of State and local preparedness in responding to a radiological emergency. This exercise was held in accordance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA's) policies and guidance concerning the exercise of State and local radiological emergency response plans (RERPs) and procedures. On July 20-21, 2005, an exercise was conducted in the 50-mile Ingestion Pathway Zone (IPZ) around the Robert E. Ginna Nuclear Power Station by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region II. The purpose of the Ingestion Pathway Exercise was to assess the level of State and local preparedness in responding to a radiological emergency within the IPZ. This exercise was held in accordance with FEMA's policies and guidance concerning the exercise of State and local radiological emergency response plans (RERP) and procedures."
