From the Executive Summary: "The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region IX evaluated an Ingestion Pathway Exercise on March 1-3, 2011 and March 15, 2011 for the 10-mile emergency planning zone (EPZ) and the 50-mile ingestion pathway planning zone around the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS). The purpose of the exercise was to assess the level of State and local preparedness in responding to a radiological emergency. [...] The local organizations, except where noted in this report, demonstrated knowledge of their emergency response plans and procedures and adequately implemented them. There was one Area Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) identified and corrected by redemonstration as a result of this exercise."
