From the Executive Summary: "On May 17, 2006, the Department of Homeland Security, Preparedness Directorate, New England Field Office, Region I, conducted an exercise in the Plume Exposure Pathway emergency planning zone (EPZ) around the Millstone Power Station. The purpose of the exercise was to assess the level of State and local preparedness in responding to a radiological emergency. The exercise was held in accordance with FEMA's policies and guidance concerning the exercise of State and local radiological emergency response plans (RERP) and procedures. The most recent exercise at this site was conducted on September14-16, 2004, (plume/ingestion exposure pathway). The qualifying emergency preparedness exercise was conducted in 1982. [...] The State and local organizations, except where noted in this report, demonstrated knowledge of their emergency response plans and procedures and adequately implemented them. Connecticut received, three, Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA). One of which was a prior ARCA which remains unresolved."
