This is the September 9, 2020 hearing on "Amtrak's Response to COVID-19 [coronavirus disease 2019]," held before the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. From the Purpose: "The Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials will meet on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building and via Cisco Webex to hold a hearing titled 'Amtrak's Response to COVID- 19.' The hearing will examine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Amtrak and Amtrak's response, including workforce cuts and reductions in train service. The Subcommittee will hear testimony from Amtrak, the Transportation Communications Union, the Transport Workers Union of America, and the Rail Passengers Association."
