From the Document: "H.R. 5619 would authorize the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award grants to state, local, tribal, and territorial public health departments for the surveillance of self-harm. The act also would authorize the Secretary to award grants to hospital emergency departments to provide self-harm and suicide prevention services. CBO estimates that implementing this act would cost $197 million over the 2021 to 2025 period; such spending would be subject to the availability of appropriations."
