From the Background: "[1] According to a survey by the School Library Journal, public libraries have fulfilled a pivotal role in serving communities during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic through a variety of partnerships, including with schools, food banks, local business, and mental health organizations. [2] This document describes how public libraries are supporting local government partners, healthcare workers and emergency responders by providing access to facilities and internet access to safely continue operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. [3] [Included] is a list of key findings and considerations for jurisdictions and communities regarding ongoing COVID-19 operations across the country. These are best practices for consideration and do not constitute and should not be considered as guidance in any way."
