In today's report, officials from larger police agencies shared information with PERF [Police Executive Research Forum] about what they are facing. According to a survey by the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the National League of Cities, 88% of cities expect a revenue shortfall this year as a result of COVID-19. And 52% said that budget cuts will impact police departments and public safety.'"
