From the Summary: "In an attempt to peer into the future, this paper analyses a range of trends that are beginning to emerge as a result of the coronavirus crisis and their possible consequences for a world transformed and for Spain. The trends are grouped into four distinct categories, although they interact with one another: (1) the temporal (the duration of the crisis and the different rates at which it is unfolding); (2) the economic; (3) the socio-political; and (4) the geopolitical. By way of conclusion, three possible scenarios (from among many others) are explored: (1) 'every one for himself', the most adverse; (2) the pursuit of an 'international collective intelligence', which would be the most positive; and (3) an intermediate scenario of 'step by step muddling through'. The goal is to provide a foundation for public and private decision-makers."
