From the Document: "USFA [U.S. Fire Administration] has been tasked with the oversight responsibility of the Type 3 Incident Management Technical Assistance Program since 2003. The program has grown significantly since 2003, and the foundation continues to be the Incident Management Team (IMT) initial training program. The 2012 revisions to the curriculum are significant in the fact they [sic] we have now includes specific references to the National Incident Management System (NIMS), and the National Response Framework (NRF), with additional activities related to the development of multiple Incident Action Plans (IAPs). USFA Type 3 IMTs continue to be deployed locally, statewide, within tribal nations, and federally to manage incidents which range from weather-related national-level exercises, wildland fires, and support of FEMA operations."
