This is the Congressional Budget Office Cost Estimate as ordered reported by the House Committee on Foreign Affairs on October 30, 2019. From the Document: "H.R. 2153 would authorize the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to undertake projects to improve secondary-school attendance by girls. USAID operates two programs in Africa targeted at secondary school girls. Those programs are expected to operate for five years at a total cost of about $20 million. CBO [Congressional Budget Office] estimates that replicating those efforts in two countries in Latin America and two countries in Asia would require additional appropriations of $8 million annually and cost $18 million over the 2020-2024 period."
