From the Purpose and Summary: "H.R. 972, the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005, amends and reauthorizes appropriations for fiscal years 2006 and 2007 for the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000. The Act strengthens the U.S. Government's ability to combat the trafficking in persons by enhancing provisions on prevention of trafficking, protection of victims of trafficking, and prosecution of traffickers, and by bringing particular attention to the problem of internal trafficking of United States citizens and nationals within the territory of the United States."
