"On February 11, 2005, Australia's Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock, issued the National Guidelines for Protecting Critical Infrastructure from Terrorism. These were developed by the National Counter Terrorism Committee and suggest actions that owners of critical infrastructure should consider, in consultation with law enforcement agencies, to protect their assets. The Attorney-General notes that national security is a shared responsibility involving all levels of government and the private sector and that the guidelines will assist in risk assessment and security planning."
