Alternate Title: CBO Cost Estimate: S. 2535, Opioid Quota Reform Act

This is a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) cost estimate for S. 2535. From the document: "The Congressional Budget Office has reviewed the following bills that were reported by the Senate Committee on the Judiciary on June 19, 2018: [1] S. 207, the Synthetic Abuse and Labeling of Toxic Substances Act of 2017; and [2] S. 2535, the Opioid Quota Reform Act. The bills would provide guidance and discretion for the Department of Justice to carry out certain functions in regulating the distribution and use of controlled substances. CBO estimates that enacting the bills would have no significant effect on the federal budget and would not affect direct spending or revenues; therefore, pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply. CBO estimates that enacting the bills would not increase net direct spending or on-budget deficits in any of the four consecutive 10-year periods beginning in 2029."
