This is the October 3, 2017 hearing on "Resiliency: The Electric Grid's Only Hope" before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. "The purpose of the hearing is to define resiliency, examine electric resiliency from both physical and cyber threats, and to study the effectiveness of private and government coordination on resiliency across the electricity delivery sectors. This hearing will specifically discuss the recommendations made by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's July 2017 consensus study report, 'Enhancing the Resilience of the Nation's Electricity System.' This hearing will also highlight the Department of Energy's lead agency status for critical infrastructure in the energy sector, and the impact of early-stage applied research on the development of resilient grid technology, infrastructure, and operational strategies."
