ABSTRACT

Annual Report on Sexual Harassment and Violence at the Military Service Academies: Academic Program Year 2014-2015   [open pdf - 6MB]

"The Department of Defense (DoD) has oversight of the Military Service Academies' (MSA) programs to address sexual harassment and sexual assault. Section 532 of the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 (Public Law 109-364) requires an assessment at the MSAs during each academic program year (APY). This assessment determines the effectiveness of the Academies' policies, training, and procedures regarding sexual harassment and sexual violence involving Academy personnel at the: [1] United States Military Academy (USMA); [2] United States Naval Academy (USNA); and [3] United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). [...] This year's report provides action items and promising practices the Department encourages the MSAs to consider adopting. Action items are initiatives the MSAs may adopt to address areas for improvement observed at all three Academies."
