ABSTRACT

Arizona State 9-1-1 & Public Safety Answering Point Pandemic Influenza Plan   [open pdf - 777KB]

"Arizona recognizes that emergency medical services (EMS) will likely be overwhelmed during an influenza pandemic and has developed this Arizona State 9-1-1 and Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Plan to address the associated call center demands. The goal of this plan is to provide a framework for Arizona's statewide EMS system to optimize the delivery of emergency care and 9-1-1 services and to ensure that the role of PSAPs in preparing for, mitigating, and responding to a pandemic influenza is well defined."
