"Lessons Learned Information Sharing ( LLIS.gov ) is the Department of Homeland Security's national, online network of lessons learned and best practices for the emergency response and homeland security communities. This initiative, sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security and the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT), helps emergency response providers and homeland security officials prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from terrorist attacks, major disasters, and other emergencies. LLIS.gov provides Federal, State, and local responders information and front-line expertise on effective planning, training, and operational practices."
