This newsletter features several articles. "Current Event: Tornadoes in Oklahoma": On Monday, May 20th, 2013, a two-mile wide EF5 tornado left a trail of destruction 1.3 miles wide and 17 miles long through the Oklahoma City suburbs. The EF5 destroyed a large number of homes, businesses, and severely damaged a hospital and two elementary schools. "LLIS.gov System Update": LLIS.gov will be upgrading system functionalities to better serve the community. During this time, the system will be undergoing maintenance starting on June 21, 2013 at 5:00PM EST. Access to the system will be unavailable until 12:00PM on June 22, 2013. "Featured Content: 2013 National Preparedness Report": The National Preparedness Report (NPR) summarizes progress the Nation has made in building, sustaining, and delivering the 31 core capabilities outlined in the National Preparedness Goal across all five mission areas identified in Presidential Policy Directive 8 (PPD-8): Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery. "New Page: Cyber Incidents Public Page": To support the community in strengthening our cyber capability, the LLIS.gov cyber incident public page hosts a collection of cyber security-related resources, including plans, after-action reports, and other documents.
