This fact sheet will outline the safety and health protections that health care workers need in order to be protected so they can safely care for their patients. These protections are based on recommendations provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), but in some cases offer a higher level of protection to more fully protect workers.
