"The American Housing Survey (AHS) is a longitudinal survey of housing units. The current sample design includes housing units selected in 1985 and has been supplemented with new housing units over time to account for new construction, survey participation attrition, and oversampling of selected populations2 . The current survey design serves a wide variety of stakeholders, including those who make use of a single year of cross-sectional data and those who link current housing units across time. The current sample is scheduled for final interviews in 2013. A new sample will be drawn for the 2015 AHS."
