Florida GIS Speeds Oil Spill Response [open pdf - 33KB]
The State of Florida recently developed a GIS-based application, known as the Florida Marine Spill Analysis System (MSAS). This application aids emergency responders in the immediate aftermath of an oil spill, monitors long-term environmental damage, and assists with contingency planning.
