Energy and Water Development Appropriations for 2012, Part 6, Department of Energy, Hearings Before a Subcommittee of the Committee on Appropriations, House of Representatives, One Hundred Twelfth Congress, First Session, March 30, 2011 [open pdf - 14MB]
This is the March 30, 2011, part 6 hearing "Energy and Water Development Appropriations for 2012" held before the Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development of the House Committee on Appropriations. From the opening statement of Steve Womack: "The fiscal year '12 request for Environmental Management is $6.1 billion, $124 million more than fiscal year 2010. The Environmental Management program has the difficult mission of cleaning up the legacy of five decades of nuclear weapons production as well as other nuclear research activities.[...] It is highly unlikely there will be any new funding in 2012 from our Subcommittee. We must, therefore balance a number of important activities while doing its part to reduce spending and bring down our deficit."
