ABSTRACT

9/11 Trade Center Support Operations   [open pdf - 1MB]

From the thesis abstract: "On September 11, 2001, the 107th Corps Support Group was transformed into 10th CSG Task Force. The unit was tasked with the logistical support for the World Trade Center Operations based out of their Park Avenue Armory. During the two weeks that followed, the unit had setup the armory and drill shed into a logistical operations center and warehouse that supported the rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero. The unit setup liaisons at various command posts throughout the city to provide logistical support. The Support Operations section coordinated the use of available transportation assets and other units to assist with bringing in and dispersing supplies to the workers at the site. As the CSSAMO [ Combat Service Support Automation Management Office] Senior Analyst of the Support Operations Section, it was my job to assist with tracking missions and supporting the section with their computer systems."
