"On June 30 and July 1, 2009 in Monterey, CA, the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS), Department of Homeland Security's Office of Emergency Communications (OEC), and Office for Interoperability and Compatibility (OIC) co-sponsored the Ogma Workshop: Exploring the Policy and Strategy Implications of Web 2.0 On the Practice of Homeland Security. [...] This two-day workshop provided attendees an opportunity to discuss and exchange information on integrating Web 2.0 technologies, including social media and social networking, as mechanisms to address the homeland security and public safety community's strategic and operational issues. This report summarizes the results for the workshop."
