President Obama Signs Iowa Disaster Declaration [August 30, 2011] [open pdf - 11KB]
On August 30, 2011 President Obama declared a state of disaster for the State of Iowa and ordered federal aid to supplement relief efforts for areas struck by severe storms and flooding from July 27-29, 2011. Federal funding is available on a cost sharing basis for disaster response efforts in affected counties. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may make additional funds available based upon further damage assessment.
