President Obama Signs Kentucky Disaster Declaration [July 25, 2011]   [open pdf - 11KB]

On July 25, 2011 President Obama declared a major disaster in the State of Kentucky due to severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding during the period of June 19-23, 2011. Federal funding is available to eligible Commonwealth and Local government entities. Federal funding is also available for hazard mitigation on a cost-sharing basis. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may provide further assistance based upon more in depth damage assessments.
