"This report reflects the collaborative observations and recommendations pertaining to core minimum criminal intelligence training standards. In order to effectively support criminal and terrorist investigations, law enforcement personnel must receive accurate, timely, and relevant intelligence and information. Information sharing among law enforcement and public safety agencies is a fundamental relationship needed to ensure success. Improving and enhancing criminal intelligence training, through core minimum standards, increase the ability of law enforcement personnel to detect, prevent, and solve crimes, while raising the professionalism and magnitude of the field."
