SAFETY Act Technical Evaluation: Criteria and Review Process   [open pdf - 1MB]

"The SAFETY Act of 2002 is a unique program that provides liability protections to the manufacturers and sellers of qualified anti-terrorism technologies. Its purpose is to ensure that the threat of liability does not deter industry from developing and commercializing products and services that could significantly reduce the risk or mitigate the effects of terrorist events. This program will introduce participants to the SAFETY Act program and application process, provide guidance on the technical and economic evaluation criteria, and discuss liability concerns. This presentation will be of particular interest to the private sector."
