Energy Policy Act 2005: Section 1837: National Security Review of International Energy Requirements [open pdf - 501KB]
The National Security Review of International Energy Requirements assesses the need of energy supplies of countries becoming dependent on oil. The country emerging as a major consumer and the focus of much of this review is the People's Republic of China. This study done in consultation with the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security examines the implications of such growth on the interests of the United States and its dependence on an oil fueled economy.
